Crescendo

Abstract

“Crescendo” is a short story dealing with the aftermath of abuse and how these relationships linger on even years later. Using the uncommon second person point of view, we are drawn into the story of a young woman as she goes through an evening of her life. Through flashbacks and the powerful usage of music, we see how she has tried to come to terms with trauma and her failed relationship, and the choices that have led her to this particular evening.
